2 American History Homework
Choose One of the following tasks and have it ready for next week
1. Be an artist: Draw a picture of an American Revolution scene. It could be a battle, ship, or signing of the Constitution. Keep in mind how the Colonial Americans dressed and what the environment would have looked like. The picture will be graded on content not artistic skill. The more elements in the picture the better.
2. Be an investigator: Research Colonial Military daily life. Photocopy or print off a picture of a Revolution soldier, Indian warrior, or weapons of the era. Create margins and detail with written descriptions of what the elements in the picture are.
3. Be a writer: Write a one page paper on a Revolution battle or a famous military leader. This could also include political leaders, uniform dress, weapons, tactics, or effects of the war. Don't focus as much on spelling, though you should try to answer as many who, what, when where, and whys as possible.
4. Be a builder: Build revolution cannon. Make a model out of sticks, toothpicks, Popsicle sticks, paper, cloth, glue, rope, and or floral foam. Do a little research on what the cannon would look like. Also keep in mind not to make it so big that it would be difficult to bring into class.
5. Be a Bible scholar: Some of the Colonialists were pacifists like the Quakers and did not fight in the American Revolution. Does the Bible support the actions of the American Revolutionists or not? Find three verses that support your opinion and explain why you believe your conclusion.
