European History Homework
Choose One of the following tasks and have it ready for next week
1. Be an artist: Draw a picture of a scene from world war one or the Russian revolution. It could be of trenches, struggles of the Petrograd Soviet, or the stock market crash after WWI. Keep in mind how the people of the time dressed and what the environment would have looked like. The picture will be graded on content not artistic skill. The more elements in the picture the better.
2. Be an investigator: Research 1910s and 1920s daily life. Photocopy or print off a picture of European citizens from the WWI and directly after. It could be a picture of a family, someone rich, poor, a politician, or the military. Create margins and detail with written descriptions of what the elements in the picture are.
3. Be a writer: Write a one page paper on the Impressionism. What was it all about? What caused it? How did the world react? Don't focus as much on spelling, though you should try to answer as many who, what, when where, and whys as possible.
4. Be a builder: Build a model of a WWI airplane. Use any supplies you can think of to assemble the vehicle that allowed man to reach the skies. Try to keep the size manageable enough to bring to class easily.
5. Be a Bible Scholar: WWI, the Russian revolution, and the European depression were full of hardship. Why do we go through struggles as Christians? Why isn't life easier? Find at least three verses and try to explain your thoughts on struggles.
