Assignment 1
Choose One of the following tasks and have it ready for next week
1. Be an artist: Draw a picture of a prehistoric scene. It could be the building of an ancient sculpture, building, or tool. It could be a picture of daily life as usual. Keep in mind how the early Europeans dressed and what the environment would have looked like. The picture will be graded on content not artistic skill.
2. Be an investigator: Research Bronze Age daily life. Photocopy or print off a picture of a Bronze Age settlement or household. Create margins and detail with written descriptions of what the elements in the picture are.
3. Be a writer: Write a one page paper on a Bronze Age innovation. This could include an invention, fashion, tribal political system of a village, how they hunt, or diet. Don't focus as much on spelling, though you should try to answer as many who, what, when where, and whys as possible.
4. Be a Bible scholar: Read the story of Noah starting in Genesis 6 and explain what kind of insight does this story bring to understand early Europeans. Write it down who they were and perhaps why they moved to Europe explain your reasoning.

It could be a picture of daily Greek life as usual. Keep in mind how the Greeks dressed and what the environment would have looked like. The picture will be graded on content not artistic skill.
2. Be an investigator: Research Greek daily life. Photocopy or print off a picture of a Greek settlement or household. Create margins and detail with written descriptions of what the elements in the picture are.
3. Be a writer: Write a one page paper on a Greek innovation. This could include an invention, fashion, political system of a city-state, play, or diet. Don't focus as much on spelling, though you should try to answer as many who, what, when where, and whys as possible.
4. Be an actor: Read a Greek play and prepare to give a one to three minute talk about what you read. Cliff notes are fine. Be as dramatic and interesting as you feel led to be, while remaining appropriate.
5. Be a Bible scholar: Read Daniel 7:1-8 and try to determine which ancient empires each of the four beasts represent. Next read Daniel 8:1-8 and try to explain who the goat and ram represents. Write it down in as simple of a manner as you desire, but be prepared to explain your reasoning.
